Common questions about marine cover

EU waters as standard — which covers most realistic cruising from Cyprus including Greece, Italy, Malta, Croatia and the French / Spanish coasts. Extensions for Turkey, North Africa or a transatlantic delivery are quoted on request.
Agreed Value. We document the boat’s market value upfront based on make, year, condition and any recent survey — and that’s what gets paid in a total loss. No depreciation surprises at claim time.
Private pleasure use is included as standard, including loaning the boat to named friends or family. Commercial / paid charter is a different rating class and we’ll quote it separately — it requires additional liability and crew cover.
Most owners reduce premium with an out-of-water / lay-up clause from November to March. Cover continues against fire, theft and storm while ashore.
Yes — standard cover includes personal effects, the tender and outboard, fishing tackle and electronics carried as part of the boat’s normal kit. Specialist items (diving equipment, racing sails) can be scheduled separately.
